There's no official rate card, and anyone quoting a universal "$X per 1,000 followers" is guessing. Build your price from your own numbers instead.
Common pricing models
- Flat fee per deliverable: e.g. one Reel plus three Stories. Simple and the most common.
- CPM-based: your average views ÷ 1,000 × a CPM you choose. This ties price to reach, not follower count. Use your real median views from the last 10–20 posts, not your best one.
- Package or retainer: monthly content for a set fee. Lower per-post price, steadier income.
- Hybrid: a lower base fee plus affiliate commission or performance bonus. Only accept it if you can see the tracking.
- Usage and add-ons: priced separately (see article 14). This is where many creators undercharge.
What should move your price up
- production time (scripting, shooting, editing, revisions)
- niche expertise and audience fit, where a smaller targeted audience can beat a big general one
- engagement and saves or shares, not just likes
- usage rights, paid ads from your handle (whitelisting) and exclusivity
- rush turnaround or extra rounds of approval
- multiple platforms or cut-downs
How to quote
- Work out your time cost: hours × your hourly target.
- Add a reach value (your CPM maths).
- List add-ons as separate lines.
- Quote a range, or offer "Option A / Option B" packages.
Keep records. Log every quote, what was accepted and at what price. After 10 deals you'll have your own benchmark, which beats any internet chart.
